And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live?
And I answered, O Lord GOD, you know.
Ezekiel 37:3.
As you grow in the truths of God’s Word, there could be times of difficulties as Jesus spoke about in John 16:33. You may face certain challenges, but don’t despair. Resist the temptation to grumble and complain that you are going through such tough times. Even when there appears to be no help from anyone, in spite of all your appeals for assistance, do not give up, refuse to be discouraged! The reality is you are not being ignored. I believe what is happening is that the Lord is training you and teaching you to stand up and to stand strong in Him.
It doesn’t matter how tough the challenge you’re confronted with might seem; don’t run from pillar to post, from this person to that person, seeking the help of man; rather talk your way out of it! This is what the Lord told Ezekiel to do in the valley of dry bones in our verse above and also verse four. Ezekiel found himself in a valley of dry bones and the Lord asked him, “Can these bones live?”
This was an impossible situation, but God told Ezekiel to “prophesy to the bones.” (Verse 4) As he prophesied a great miracle took place: “….and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and suddenly a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to bone.” (Verse 7).
If you’ve found yourself in a situation where you seem to be alone before God, and everything around you seems “dry,” the Lord is asking you, “Can I give life to this situation?” He’s asking, “Son of man, can there be a change?” God is waiting on you to act on His Word, His promises that He has given to you. He wants you to put into practice all the things you have learned from Him and continue to learn.
The challenges you face are an opportunity for you to put your trust in the Lord and His Word, an opportunity to demonstrate your faith in an ever faithful God. So, refuse to become discouraged (it’s a choice!), keep declaring your health, success, prosperity and victory in Jesus Christ. Amen?
Blessings
