Romans 4: ¹⁸ [For Abraham, human reason for] hope being gone, hoped in faith that he should become the father of many nations, as he had been promised, So [numberless] shall your descendants be.
¹⁹ He did not weaken in faith when he considered the [utter] impotence of his own body, which was as good as dead because he was about a hundred years old, or [when he considered] the barrenness of Sarah’s [deadened] womb.
²⁰ No unbelief or distrust made him waver (doubtingly question) concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong and was empowered by faith as he gave praise and glory to God,
²¹ Fully satisfied and assured that God was able and mighty to keep His word and to do what He had promised.

James 1:⁶ Only it must be in faith that he asks with no wavering (no hesitating, no doubting). For the one who wavers (hesitates, doubts) is like the billowing surge out at sea that is blown hither and thither and tossed by the wind.

Genesis 16:  Now Sarai, Abram’s wife, had borne him no children. She had an Egyptian maid whose name was Hagar.
² And Sarai said to Abram, See here, the Lord has restrained me from bearing [children]. I am asking you to have intercourse with my maid; it may be that I can obtain children by her. And Abram listened to and heeded what Sarai said.

Judges 6: ¹² And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him and said to him, The Lord is with you, you mighty man of [fearless] courage.
¹³ And Gideon said to him, O sir, if the Lord is with us, why is all this befallen us? And where are all His wondrous works of which our fathers told us, saying, Did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt? But now the Lord has forsaken us and given us into the hand of Midian.

Judges 6: ¹⁵ Gideon said to Him, Oh Lord, how can I deliver Israel? Behold, my clan is the poorest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house.

Jer 1:⁵ Before I formed you in the womb I knew [and] approved of you [as My chosen instrument], and before you were born I separated and set you apart, consecrating you; [and] I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.

Lamentations 3:⁵⁴ The waters ran down on my head; I said, I am gone.
⁵⁵ I called upon Your name, O Lord, out of the depths [of the mire] of the dungeon.
⁵⁶ You heard my voice [then]: [Oh] hide not Your ear [now] at my prayer for relief.
⁵⁷ You drew near on the day I called to You; You said, Fear not.

Lamentations 3: ²¹ But this I recall and therefore have I hope and expectation:~
²² It is because of the Lord’s mercy and loving-kindness that we are not consumed, because His [tender] compassions fail not. ²³ They are new every morning; great and abundant is Your stability and faithfulness. ²⁴ The Lord is my portion or share, says my living being (my inner self); therefore will I hope in Him and wait expectantly for Him.

Matthew 14: ²² Then He directed the disciples to get into the boat and go before Him to the other side, while He sent away the crowds.
²³ And after He had dismissed the multitudes, He went up into the hills by Himself to pray. When it was evening, He was still there alone.
²⁴ But the boat was by this time out on the sea, many furlongs [a furlong is one-eighth of a mile] distant from the land, beaten and tossed by the waves, for the wind was against them.
²⁵ And in the fourth watch [between 3:00—6:00 a.m.] of the night, Jesus came to them, walking on the sea. ²⁶ And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were terrified and said, It is a ghost! And they screamed out with fright.

²⁷ But instantly He spoke to them, saying, Take courage! I Am! Stop being afraid!
²⁸ And Peter answered Him, Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.
²⁹ He said, Come! So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water, and he came toward Jesus.
³⁰ But when he perceived and felt the strong wind, he was frightened, and as he began to sink, he cried out, Lord, save me [from death]!
³¹ Instantly Jesus reached out His hand and caught and held him, saying to him, O you of little faith, why did you doubt?

³² And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased.
³³ And those in the boat knelt and worshiped Him, saying, Truly You are the Son of God!
³⁴ And when they had crossed over to the other side, they went ashore at Gennesaret.
³⁵ And when the men of that place recognized Him, they sent around into all the surrounding country and brought to Him all who were sick
³⁶ And begged Him to let them merely touch the fringe of His garment; and as many as touched it were perfectly restored.

Luke 10:¹⁹ Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power that the enemy [possesses]; and nothing shall in any way harm you.
